IFRS 16, LEASES a new accounting model for these asset financings

Description

Starting in 2019, companies will be required to report all leased assets on their IFRS balance sheets. The conference addressed the practical issues raised by this new IFRS 16 standard, including:

  • What are its effects on the main financial aggregates?
  • How to evaluate the rental period?
  • What project management and communication should be put in place?
  • What are the possible strategies for adopting IFRS 16?

Speakers: Arnaud POMEL, CEO of Foncière de Paris and Anne-Laure BOURGEOIS, International Finance Manager of the Orpéa Group, gave their operational view of these issues and the new tenant-landlord relationship that is taking shape. The members of the IFRS unit of Saint-Honoré Partenaires, Anthony Jean-René, senior manager and Frédéric BURBAND, partner and member of the Commission des études comptables of the CNCC, developed the technical aspects.
